Enchilada Sauce


Make and enjoy your own enchiladas. This is the perfect sauce. Another one of my mother’s needed recipes.
 
 
Enchilada Sauce
 
Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • salt
Heat the oil in a non stick pan over medium high heat. Stir in flour and chili powder, reduce heat and and stir to prevent burning until lightly browned. Gradually stir in the remaining ingredients into the flour and chili powder mixture until smooth. Cook over medium heat for around 10 minutes.
