The Mojito originated from Havana, Cuba and I fell in love with these while living in Miami.


  • Collins glass
  • 4 or 5 mint leaves
  • 1 lime for juicing
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 2 oz white rum
  • club soda
  • 1 sprig of mint, garnish
  • lime slices, garnish
  • muddler
Put the mint leaves in the glass and squeeze the lime juice on top. Top off with the powdered sugar and muddle until well incorporated. Add ice and pour in rum and fill with club soda. Stir and garnish with mint and lime slice.
If you want to try other flavors like Raspberry or Blackberry,  just muddle that in with the mint and garnish the fruit as well.
