Pistachio Brittle


Peanut brittle doesn’t hold a candle to pistachio brittle. You have to try this and potassium can lower levels of the stress not to mention conquer your sweet craving.

Pistachio Brittle
 
Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup dry-roasted shelled unsalted pistachios
  • parchment paper
  • vegetable oil cooking spray
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with cooking spray. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring sugar, corn syrup, water and butter to a simmer; cook stirring often, until the mixture is a medium caramel color, around 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda (the mixture will foam), salt, vanilla extract, and pistachios. Pour onto baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Cool completely and break into pieces. Enjoy.
