Beer and Ice Cream Float

No I didn’t forget the Root in the Beer. Choose a nice Stout or Porter as they have a nice coffee or chocolate flavor to them. Pair them with a really good Vanilla Ice cream and you will be pleasantly surprised.

  • Stout or Porter, chocolatey, coffee, or even fruity
  • A good vanilla ice cream
  • beer or ice cream float glass, tall

Sake and Pineapple Cocktail

I have this huge bottle of sake. I love cooking with it not to mention having it with sushi or beer. I decided to try something different. I always have fresh fruit in a bowl and pineapple is always one of them. Since sake is sweet I figured they would make a great pair. I was right. This soaks for at least 4 hours, so prepare to watch and wait.

Sake and Pineapple Cocktail
Here are the Ingredients:
  • cocktail glass, chilled
  • 1 cup sake
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • jar, with top
Take sake and pineapple and place in jar and seal with top. Allow to sit for at least 4 hours. Pour into a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain and pour into chilled cocktail glass and drop in soaked pineapple chunks. Enjoy!

Bacon Infused Vodka

Everything tastes better with bacon, even Vodka. If you love a Bloody Mary you’ll love a Bacon Bloody Mary or a Bloody Caesar.

  • 1 liter vodka, absolut
  • 1 pound of bacon, cooked and bacon fat rendered (4 oz)
  • Carafe or mason jar
  • coffee filter
  • strainer

Cook bacon to render fat and pour into a measuring cup. Pour vodka into the carafe or mason jar (save bottle to reuse when infused) and then pour in bacon fat. Let the combination sit at room temperature for 4 hours while stirring every 15 minutes because the mixture will separate. After 4 hours at room temperature and the flavors are infused, place the container in the freezer to solidify the bacon fat. Remove from the freezer and remove enough fat to reach the vodka. Place a coffee filter into a strainer and pour through to filter out all the bacon fat. You can do this a couple of times. Pour back into vodka bottle. Wallah..bacon infused vodka. Enjoy!
