Green Tea Smoothie

I used to buy the frappuccino and decided why not make my own. If you want the benefits of green tea this is a tasty way to achieve it. Please try and enjoy.

Green Tea Smoothie
Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1/2 teaspoon green tea powder (matcha)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla syrup
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 4 ounces whole milk or for lighter version 2% milk
  • 6 ice cubes
  • whipped cream, optional
Take matcha and add it to 2 ounces of hot water. Whisk until dissolved. Add sugar, syrup, and milk and stir until mixed well.  Pour into blender with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into glass and top with whipped cream. Enjoy!

Peach and Banana Smoothie

Peach and banana. Excellent combo in this smooth smoothie.
Peachy, creamy, coconutty, a hint of vanilla, and that banana all great together!!

Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1 medium banana, cut into slices
  • 1 cup peaches, frozen
  • 1/2 cup vanilla flavored coconut milk
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
Blend together all ingredients until smooth. If you prefer add some flax seed as well.

Mango and Pineapple Smoothie

With all the fresh fruits in season the combinations for smoothies are abundant!

Mango and pineapple go well with coconut and vanilla. Very tropical flavors.

Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe mango, cut and pitted
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut and cored
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk, vanilla flavor
  • 1 teaspoon flax seed
Place all ingredients in blender and mix well. Chill and serve.

Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

I started using coconut milk instead of soy or regular milk lately and thought I’d give it a try in a smoothie. I also put in a little flaxseed. Some call flaxseed one of the most powerful plant food on the planet.

Here are the Ingredients:
  • 1 cup coconut milk, vanilla flavor
  • 2 tablespoons low fat yogurt, vanilla flavor
  • 4 large fresh strawberries, frozen is fine too, cut in half
  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed
  • 3 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
